"One More Time — He Is Not Done With You Yet"
THE ARMY YOU COULDN'T SEE WAS ALWAYS LARGER
— 2 Kings 6:17 (NIV)
The servant woke up surrounded. The enemy army was visible, real, and terrifying. And his conclusion was completely logical given what he could see — we are outnumbered, we are finished. But Elisha wasn't afraid. Because Elisha could see something his servant couldn't. The army of God was already there — already surrounding them, already outnumbering the enemy, already positioned for their protection.
The servant's fear was not irrational. It was simply based on incomplete information. He was reacting to the visible while the invisible — which was far more powerful — was already in place. The prayer that changed everything was not a prayer for God to send help. It was a prayer for eyes to see the help that was already there. What would change in your situation today if you could see what God has already surrounded you with?
Lord, open my eyes. Let me see the hills full of what You have already positioned around me. My fear is based on what I can see. Expand my vision to what You can see. Amen.
Pray Elisha's prayer specifically today — "Open my eyes, Lord, so that I may see." Then sit quietly and ask God what He wants to show you.
